The attached spreadsheet contains a content model workbook for exchange of information about fluid fluxes into or out of a well. A generic model is intended to be generic, allowing for oil, gas, water, steam production or injection (negative flow). Three observation types are specified--geothermal production (includes power generated), production (oil, gas, water, other flows from a well), and injection (any fluid flowed into well). Because of the wide variety of possible flow measurements (commodities, aggregation type), the model adopts a thin approach, which may result in many records being returned for a single well. Thus most data about the well is linked through the HeaderURI instead of included inline to keep the redundant data volume down.

Each observation includes a WellName, WellType, Latitude and Longitude spatially referenced to EPSG: 4326 (for interoperability). The data contained in the submitted dataset is available as an Excel Spreadsheet, ESRI service, WMS and WFS service. 1,146 wellheader features are included in the dataset.
