Description: 
This data set is a compilation of geothermal area features from sources in Washington state, provided by the Washington Division of Geology and Earth Resources for the National Geothermal Data System. The package contains a personal geodatabase (Access Database) with 11 tables, 10 of which should not be edited. The table “GeothermalAreas” contains the geometry and shape information for display using GIS software. Data for 16 records are included. Fields in the “GeothermalAreas” data table include OBJECTID, GeothermalAreaURI, FieldName, OtherLocationName, Notes, ResourceType, GeologicSetting, GeothermTempCharacterization, LandOwner, County, State, Source and SourceURI. In addition to the database, a Microsoft Word Document containing metadata is included with the data set and is directly from the data provider.

AASG Geothermal Data: Geothermal Area Content Model

Description: 
The spreadsheet in this bundle contains the GeothermalAreaTemplate spreadsheet that specifies specifies content elements for an interchange format for geothermal area polygons, for low or high temperature geothermal fields. A personal geodatabase/access database is also included and contains the attributes in this (Template) that will become XML elements in interchange documents for Web feature services, served by AASG geothermal data web services. In the geothermal data system, geothermal area services may be used to discover resources. The deliverable is the personal geodatabase.
